This was such a great story! It had a fantastic plot premise and execution, and I loved the combination of medieval and futuristic elements it used for world building. It reminded me of the Astronights Island on Poptropica. The action sequence at the climax was simply incredible and completely engaging. I also loved the father-daughter relationship between Nimona and Ballister - Nimona herself made me laugh due to her bolshy personality. While it took some time for me to click with the art style, once I did I really enjoyed it. Finally, there was good character development for Ballister and Ambrosius, but I would have liked a slightly different ending to give Nimona more of an arc.

The only downside was that it was a little light in explanation for Nimona's abilities for my taste. But overall an endearing, empowering, fun story, where not everyone is as they seem.
