great book! tells the stories of incredible people who show up for their communities in different ways. sometimes movement work can feel daunting or like you need to be 100% in it or you're not in it at all but this book shows that there's a lot of in between and it can look a million different ways. Made me feel more inspired to find and build community in my neighborhood. This was pretty engaging as an audiobook which was nice.

I love hearing stories of resilience and resistance and this was a whole book of them. Absolutely recommend (especially to anyone feeling weary at all of the injustice).

I listened to the audio book (read by the author) and really loved it. I definitely want to pick up the physical book for easier reference. This book combines first person stories and the greater context for all kinds of movement work and how they intersect. There were several people profiled that I knew of and enjoyed hearing more about them as well as being introduced to new people and work.
I also liked learning about more recent events, especially ones in my home city, Seattle. I really liked how she broke down ways that people can get involved, overall a great resource.
