Very interesting portrait of the defacto Leader of Europe (she seemed to abhor the nickname) and all the more impressive given how private Merkel is.
Not a puff piece by any stretch, it definitely delves into her mistakes and deficits, but also describes the obstacles she overcame and the values she imbued.
Overall it paints a picture of a woman who wanted to do her best for as many people as she could. When asked how she wanted to be remembered Merkel answered "She tried". And, really, that's not a bad legacy to leave.
