This was okay. I enjoyed the tournament element, and the dynamic between the three MCs. The spice was decent too. I just really don’t think this world is for me. I find the structure and tone of it odd, and it feels like we keep getting the same problems presented with no resolutions or real explanations in each book.
The 4th book in the series is not on Libby, so I’m going to skip to book 5. That should tell you just about how invested in this series I actually am.

TW ~ sexual content, violence, emotional abuse, toxic relationship
There are 3 trials to be Ares. The last person standing will be Ares. Zeus added that Helen, his sister be part of the prize as whoever the new Ares is will also marry Helen. Helen tired of having no control in her life competes in the trials to become the new Ares. I’m doing so she meets Achilles and Patroclus, both whom she focuses on for different reasons one being that Achilles wants to be Ares as much as she does.
I loved how different and similar Achilles, Helen and Patroclus were in their own ways and how they functioned together!
