Very relatable. It's amazing how so few words can tell a whole story. The simple pictures make it even better.

I don't read much poetry, but I was impressed by this. Some repetition in themes I suppose, but never in a way I found tiresome. Reinhart is frank and frequently evokes potent feelings in a few words. I confess I was perhaps most impressed by the way the book's design aids her writing. The red pages that act as section breaks and the minimalist drawings really worked for me. The whole book is evocative and lovely to spend time with. I'd read more certainly.

I really enjoyed this poetry book by Lili, I love her as an actress and sometimes I’m weary of actors/actresses writing books, etc. but this was really well done. I connected the most with her poems on anxiety and depression and just mental state generally. I read along while listening to the Audible version which is read by her, her voice is very soothing, so I this was such a great read for me from both aspects. I tabbed about 10 poems as my favorite that really stuck with me. I will note that I’m not a poetry snob, I actually don’t connect easily with classic poetry, I do tend to prefer contemporary poetry. Lili’s poems definitely spoke to me in many ways, and I would for sure recommend this book to others!

This is a short collection of poems written by American actress Lili Reinhart that explore themes such as love, mental health, fame and heartbreak.
I felt that that Lili did a good job of recording the emotions she felt during her experiences. And reading it, I felt like the poems were authentic. They gave a good glimpse into her personal life, specifically towards two facets:
- being a young actor in the entertainment industry.
- simply being a young woman trying to navigate life, love, and heartbreak.
For some reason, I only connected with a handful of poems in a deep and meaningful way. The poems, though, were very simple. And I may have resonated with them more when I was younger.
That being said, I think that this book may be used to help others in the future. Hopefully reading this book can be as cathartic for readers experiencing similar emotions as those presented in this collection as it was for Lili during the writing process.
