I felt like the justification lines that Van used for stalking violet were realistic, as were her reactions to him. Her life has been filled with toxic people and abuse. However, I had to DNF at 80% when her best friend tells her she should go back to her stalker boyfriend because he obviously loves her. No best friend that’s been trying to get you out of an abusive situation for years is going to send you into the arms of an obviously mentally unstable man. Took me right out of the story.

Characters weren't likable.. pacing felt off. It feels like we're in the middle of a story.

Where Violets Bloom is not like any other stalker romances I've read. It may have started out as a stalker story, it turned into a possessive/obsessed story. It was not as dark as I was expecting going into it, but I still really enjoyed it and only put the book down to eat or use the restroom. There were several parts that kinda made my eye twitch but the one that made me want to smack Violet was the whole situation with the notebook. I'm not going to give spoilers, but like girl come on! It was the first story I have read by the author and her writing style seems interesting so I will read more of her in the future!
