so the misogyny was too strong in this one.
regardless, Haley and West were a fresh breath of air in the sense that both were struggling with very hard situations, especially Haley, but i didn't feel like they were being whiny about it or like trying to justify their mistakes with that, altho Haley never made mistakes tho, she is an angel.
I would have loved to see more West's mom, tho, both mothers truly, but West's mom deserved a bit more after having re read Rachel's book, she needed to say something regarding, well, everything.

This author is the definition of amazing. You would think after four books, she couldn't keep up with the same intensity and originality, but it's the exact opposite. Each story brings a new relationship & a new dynamic to each character that makes you fall in love. It's perfect!
By this point I think we all know I love Katie McGarry. The woman is brilliant and I could ready her menus with devotion. What else can I say? If you haven't read this book yet. You totally should, it's page turner. And wow the ending threw me for a loop. Of and the bonus novella at the very back!!! No spoilers but just as amazing!
I love all of her books and this one was just as good as the rest. I love how her characters are all intertwined and how I feel like I know them so personally. Possibly my favorite author!!!
This wasn't a bad story, but it was kinda predictable. It reads like a lot of other McGarry books (which I usually really enjoy) but it just didn't really feel like it brought anything new to the table. I still enjoyed reading this one but I didn't like the characters as much as before. I liked West better than Haley, just because she felt very dumb I guess? Like she was in a horrible situation and she wouldn't fix it and she wouldn't let anyone else fix it and it didn't really make any sense. I also liked the Isaiah and Rachel cameo because they are my absolute favorites! And you know the more I think about it the more I hate Rachel and West's parents; they're so selfish and stuff and idk I just don't really like them. Bad vibes.
