This was a lot more emotional than I was anticipating, and i'm not mad about it lol

Appreciated the addition of including more complex family dynamics in this, as well as mental health (suicidal ideation, depression, burn out, anxiety) that made everything feel a bit more grounded than the typical 'office rivals to lovers coworker' contemporary romances.

The chapters are long, and that has put me off. The times I did pick it up, my reading felt so slow. - I like the premise and tropes, and I was vibing with the characters (With where I was at, I could see myself enjoying this enough to give it a 3-3.5), but the formulaic pacing is keeping me from continuing it. Also, it has been 2 weeks, and I haven’t thought about it, other than to finish it. So I’m just going to DNF it now rather than drag myself through it.

It's a really cute book. I like the chemistry between Sage and Noah a lot, and i like the fact that they never stopped their rivalry even when they got romantically involved. Also, loved the subplots with their families and personal struggles.
My problem was the pacing. Maybe it was just me, but i was confused about the timing. I still don't know how long they worked together, or how long had they been "hating" each other untill the developed feelings. I wish that was a little more clear.
