The book was a lot of fun! I really liked their family arcs & I thought their conflicts fit in really well with their overall storylines - no random misunderstandings coming out of nowhere. I did not vibe with the audiobook narrators though.

HELLO NEW EMOTIONAL SUPPORT SAPPHICS, NOAH BLUE & SAGE MONTGOMERY 👏👏👏
this is my first grumpy vs sunshine/dark colour aesthetic vs bright colour aesthetic(?)book and…. oh i think i love this trope.
sage….. i love her vibe. i love her insecurities. i love her backstory with her family. i love her overcoming her hardships and isolation and realising she enjoys social connection more than being on my own. she’s so me if i could draw and also was a decade older and bisexual and if i- …. ok so not me. but HER PERSONALITY!!!!! i love her growth. i love HER.
noah is also so me personality wise. i love HER insecurities too. i love HER growth. i love her rivalry with sage. i love how bubbly she is.
their dynamic was so… ugh. usually books where characters have a past before the novel begins usually feel forced for me…. NOT HERE!!!!!! the chemistry for these two was off the fucking CHARTS!!!!!!!!! like oh my goddddd it was beautiful. i loved their taunting and then where each of them let their walls down. adored it.
the smut…… let me just say it was good.
the plot!!!!! i really enjoyed it!!!! contemporary stories always are a hit or miss for me simply because i need something anchoring me to the story. but the plot of the competition and drawing for queen letisha? perfect. i also really loved how those two plot lines ended. god am i SO THANKFUL to deanna grey for not employing a stupid fucking miscommunication trope or a third act breakup. i cant stand romance books where there’s a random breakup in the middle!!!! it wouldn’t have made sense for these two and im sooooo thankful it wasn’t done. and on the note of communication…. oh my god these characters acted like real people!!! they acted like how people their age in real life would act!!!! so refreshing to see a realistic romance book.
i literally have no gripe about this book. the ending was great. the actual romance was beautiful. I LOVED THISSSSS

Unfortunately the narrator is awful. The voices she uses is like a black woman mocking a stereotypical 40 something white nerd. It's disappointing.

I don't have time to physically read this book.

Enemies to lovers trope.Opposites attract, office romance and a sprinkle of family drama. A little dysfunction builds character.

This book is everything to me! Noah and Sage are such beautiful characters and I love their love, the way they learn to lean on each other and let the other in

Not gonna finish this.
I don't really vibe with this book, maybe it's the audiobook narration? Not sure. Or maybe just the plot? Anyway
