If I could give this a 6/5 I would. This book is incredible. It’s the Rivas to lovers trope done perfectly. The dynamic between Sage and Noah is beautiful. I especially loved how they were as individuals beyond their relationship to each other. They truly felt like people. They had their own flaws and problems, and it wasn’t instantly fixed the second they got together. They had to work for their relationship with each other and those around them. They had a lot of love for one another. That epilogue was amazing. The saddest part is that I’ll never be able to experience reading this book for the first time again. Those love confessions were truly everything.

Deanna Grey's story is one that more need to follow. Since it's independently published, it doesn't get nearly enough praise as it should.

While it took me a few chapters to grow fully invested in the book, I ended up really enjoying OUTDRAWN. It was cool to read about illustration and the comic book industry. Even she doesn't prior background in that space, Grey made it easy to follow and I seeing Sage and Noah become rivals.

Both main characters stuck out to me with they developed throughout the story as individuals and as a duo. Noah and Sage have improvements to encounter, but you can tell it is something they plan to work on.

An added bonus: a dark skinned Black woman on the cover and as a main character!!
