The slow burn between sage and Noah was so good from past rivals to lovers was so good and the storyline of family drama was also good I felt my heart break over sage and Noah on how both had moments of sadness and I felt like their character development written perfect and their spicy moments were so raw and beautiful

The cons far outweighed the pros for me for this book. I usually love a sapphic romance, especially one focused on artistic women, but this was not it. The audiobook narrators were horrific — robotic, weird inflections, bizarre voices, absolutely zero acting choices. I don’t think I would have liked the print version any better though — the characters felt flat, their relationship wasn’t well developed, the side characters didn’t add anything of value, and the plot was boring with very low stakes. I didn’t care about the characters or what they were going through because everything was told rather than shown. This read very juvenile (to the point where I kind of assumed this was YA), and then all of a sudden BAM sex scenes. Honestly the only redeeming qualities were no third act breakup and Sage and Noah’s focus on communication and setting boundaries. The only reason I finished it was because I had a long drive and didn’t want to stop and find something new.
