The book was cute. Noah and Sage have been going at it since college. So when they land at the same company after battling each other on an Indie website, Sage is not having it. Sage immediately wants to get to know Noah so that she can sabotage her and get Noah off the prized possession comic that has been her life. In the mist of getting to know her she finds that she actually likes her. To the point when Noah gets the promo she has been working so hard on, she’s not even upset. Both ladies have some deep family woes, and I wanted to jump into the scene and curse everyone out. How dare they make them feel like that ughh. I did enjoy that while it is a lesbian story, it wasn’t over done AND there was spice scenes in it. It flowed really well and I felt the connection. Would recommend.

This was such a great story. The communication and growth between the MCs was so great!

Separate note:  I highly recommend staying clear of the audio version. I usually can listen to anyone and I have never  felt this way before but these narrators took away from the story so badly. I was thankful I could read the book version right away and switched over but I just wanted to mention it almost ruined the book  so please give the physical or ebook a try if you can! It’s really great!

I was excited to read this. However, after the first chapter I had no desire to pick it up again. Every character introduced annoyed me and I did not care to see if that was going to change.

i was sooo bored for the first half of the book. i didn’t really care for the office and comic stuff and there was just about zero chemistry between the characters. i really liked the second half tho, so this book redeemed itself. however there was just no buildup so the relationship falls kinda flat and started pretty abruptly imo. i enjoyed their relationship in the second half and how they resolved their professional rivalry
