The pining at the beginning of this book was stellar!! I haven't read too many rivals-to-lovers stories, but it is officially one of my favorite tropes solely because of this book.

The family dynamics explored between both characters were so well done. Feeling like you have to show up for your family and the demands of your job can be extremely tiresome. Noah and Sage were there to hold on to one another (sometimes literally) when they were feeling burnt out. Although they worked in the same workplace, neither forced them to make a certain decision. They both gave each other space to feel their emotions and decide what worked best for their personal growth. It was refreshing because I usually read romances where one of the main characters gives up part of their life to be with their partner.

No offense to the girlies but I didn't like the voice actresses. I just don't think they fit for the characters.

This is my first book with sex scenes and can I just say, yall are fweaks!

Negative points for
the romance. It's really rushed. They loathe each other and don't have a moment of changing their minds / seeing their mindset is wrong and changing. It's actually just forced romance. Not "I liked her years ago but she slighted me so I hate her forever" just "I don't know why I invited her to something after dinner, why do I wanna draw her" like ??? It's conflicting clashing storytelling.
Since this is my first I understand this might be a feature of the genre or something but I didn't like it and its my review so I'm gonna say something because I can.
