(3.5 rounded to 4⭐️) this was probably the best thriller i’ve read in 2024 so far butttttttt the ending was extremely anticlimactic & disappointing. This book did a really good job of making me SO upset with characters (*Neena🙄🤨*) but also on the edge of my seat as to how everything was going to play out. I will say that Cat, though she is also not a good person, really did not come to play & somehow i’m not exactly mad at what she did???😫 I really enjoyed this book, other than the ending!🤷🏽‍♀️

Not bad, I listened to the audio and was done in about 3 days. It’s darker than I thought it would be, definitely some trigger warnings which the author admits at the end.

It was okay. I didn’t necessarily look forward to picking it up, but the twist was a surprise and the writing was well done. Just an average read for me.

This book could only have the potential a guilty pleasure, nothing more; and even at that, it didn't really deliver on the 'pleasure' part. In terms of plot, I would say there wasn't much substance and the end was kind of unsatisfying. No one really "won" and it left me wondering what the point of it all was.

In short, a snoozefest.

The book also made mention of several characters and other loopholes that left questions that largely went unanswered.  And every single character was unlikeable. Towards the end, I really was just looking to finish it.

Did not see the end coming. Another quick easy read by AR Torre. I like her style of making a lot of chapters that are short. Tricks you into reading more and finishing the book fast, in addition to craving more of the story.
