Not bad, I listened to the audio and was done in about 3 days. It’s darker than I thought it would be, definitely some trigger warnings which the author admits at the end.

This book got me back into reading! Not world changing, but I loved the push and pull from the different POV of the characters and felt myself rooting for both sides. Loved that I didn’t see where the book was going, and ended up re-reading in 2023 to relive the story.

This book could only have the potential a guilty pleasure, nothing more; and even at that, it didn't really deliver on the 'pleasure' part. In terms of plot, I would say there wasn't much substance and the end was kind of unsatisfying. No one really "won" and it left me wondering what the point of it all was.

In short, a snoozefest.

The book also made mention of several characters and other loopholes that left questions that largely went unanswered.  And every single character was unlikeable. Towards the end, I really was just looking to finish it.
