Usually cult like books aren’t the first thing I would choose but I thought what the heck, let’s see if this will change my mind. It didn’t. I was really hoping for a happy ending, family being reunited and the mom really wanting to move forward and leave her past in the past but she was just too far gone. I know this can be a reality for people but for me just casually reading it wasn’t my favorite book I read this year.

WOAH BABY!!! I wasn’t expecting that to play out like it did at all!!! I NEVER expected Love International to end up being a cult, or for any of the events to go down like they did! And that damn ending?!?!?! Did Kate really only come back to kidnap her daughter and return with her?!? Talk about total brainwash though, Kate really didn’t seem like she was in her right mind at all anymore! Or maybe bringing her daughter in was her contribution the same as others had helped bring people in! I was really hopeful she had escaped and would get help to return to a normal life! I loved this book! Only my second cultish book and it did not disappoint at all!

wow

I couldn’t put it down. I haven’t read in this genre for a while, but this one creeped me out and kept me on the edge of my seat.
My only complaint is the ending. I would have liked more resolution, like an epilogue of sorts. I have many questions.
Also: Meredith is the real hero of this story.

Fantastic read! I loved the flashbacks to what had happened with Kate over the years mixed in with the present day story of Abbi and Meredith dealing with the return of Kate. This book drew me in from the very beginning and held my attention easily throughout. I did also listen to some of the audio book and it was really well performed! I would def recommend this and look forward to reading my next book by Lucinda Berry.

Esse livro me manteve fisgada desde o início.

Just love Lucindas writing ...and the vantage point she brings with her back ground brings such a unique perspective. I guessed the ending before it happened so it wasn't like "wow" but still a great read
