The only problem with Bella Matthews’ books is that they end and I have to go bad into the real world. It’s always a perfect mix of fictional romance mixed with reality. Deacon was another perfect book boyfriend. And Brynlee was a strong female lead who was struggling with a very real decision that could change the way she lived her life.

I was not expecting Brynlee’s struggle. It brought so much emotion to the plot. I loved the way Brynlee and Deacon reconnected. I loved the way they supported each other. Their marriage of convenience was fast but it really worked and made sense for them, especially when considering what Brynlee was going through.

I liked that this book wrapped up all the missing pieces from the other books. Brynlee was an excellent secondary character, but was even better as the main character. I loved how she related to Kennedy, Deacon’s daughter, and worked to develop a relationship with her on her terms.

I love the big Kingston, Sinclair mixed family. It seems like with every book there are more characters I’m intrigued by. I can’t wait for more of the second generation to get their books, but that bonus epilogue has me wanting a third generation and that just seems crazy! But that’s how much I just love this world Bella Matthews has created.

I love this series, even more so than the previous generation of the characters. This was another good one. The fmc learned to stand on her own and up to her family.

Notes
- I love how this author consistently writes realistic characters who have both funny and meaningful conversations with each other, friends and family. It’s like watching real like friends/family talk.

- instant reconnection from their past friendship without it feeling rushed and over the top

- for a short fast paced book, there’s a lot of sx, too much that it detracts from the story because it feels like they’re just constantly falling into bed.

I could not put this book down and absolutely devoured it in one sitting. I loved the addition of Brynlee’s secret thoughts at the beginning of her POV. They were amusing and very accurate lol

Deacon is an amazing dad which just made me love him more as a character and I adored the relationship between him and Brynlee. I also love that at no point did Brynlee question if she was ready to be a step-mom and just dove into it head first and is doing great as far as I am concerned.

I am happy that Brynlee decided to change the things in her life to make herself happier and healthier. I loved reading as this relationship grew. It was so sweet and I just love Deacon and Brynlee together as a couple. It just makes sense.

I cannot wait to read Bella’s next book because this one was just so enthralling and entertaining. I loved it!!!

As we return to Kroydon Hills for Brynlee’s story, I think this is Ms. Matthews best to date. We get all the small town yumminess, a bit of angst, secrets, and plenty of steam we expect. The family dynamic brings the humor, as the cousins are up their shenanigans, and the banter.

We know bits and pieces of Brylee’s story, and it is nice to get a deeper understanding of her. Her strength is admirable. Deacon and Brynlee have a history, but they are too young to act. Is now their time? Deacon will make you swoon, btw.

The Kroydon Chronicles is still on top of the town's happenings, and I always look forward to the group text messages. I am looking forward to more from this large and extended family.

Thank you to the Author for the advanced copy; this is my voluntary review.
