So, let’s start by mentioning that this is the first time I’ve read something by Bella Matthews and I was not disappointed. Actually I was convinced by this book to go back and read all the books that she’s written!❤️
Brynlee is a strong FMC and I was sooo glad to see she didn’t backed down no matter what. I liked how strongly she felt about her own path and she surprised me. In a good way!
Deacon, I think I would’ve wanted to see more of him as a father, he talks soo sweet about his daughter and I loved how excited he was when it came to her. I wanted more of that relationship. But when we are talking about his relationship with Brynlee, well, he met my expectations fully! I loved how he was protective but in the same time he respected her authority and strength!
Overall it was a nice reading, I finished it pretty quickly and I totally recommend it! I mean, this book convinced me to read more books, it was that good! ❤️
Thank you, Bella Matthews and Valentine PR for giving me the opportunity to read this book as an ARC❤️! I loved it!

I could not put this book down.
I love everything that Bella Matthews writes and this book is no exception. I could not put it down. The immediate attraction and electrifying chemistry between Deacon and Brynlee had me captivated. Their blossoming relationship was entertaining and engaging. I enjoyed how hard and fast they fell for each other. They were the epitome of sweet and swoony. Their support and love for each other was heartwarming.
Brynlee is one of my favorite FMC of this series! She was just like her mom, Scarlett Kingston, strong, independent, intelligent, sassy yet caring and loving. Deacon was her perfect match, he provided the care and comfort she need as well as the strength to help her to deal with and overcome the fears that she was struggling with.
Deacon was super sexy with his dirty talk on one hand and being the fantastic father on the other. I adored his relationship with Isla, Bella always gives us such loveable side characters .
There was some hard and emotional topics that tugged at my heart and made me emotional but it was dealt with so beautifully.
As usual, I loved the witty banter between Brynlee and her girls. Her relationship with Madman had me laughing out loud and was very heartwarming. Bella Matthews has this unique talent of creating such a strong bond between her characters which is so palpable that you can't help feel a part of it. I love this group and this book was the perfect ending to a wonderful series.

At this point, anything Bella writes I absolutely devour it in one sitting and will be left wanting more and more. I know after The Knockout I was left with some questions around Brynlee and this book delivered on that. I swear every book is better than the previous one and I swear The Sweet Spot will stay on my mind for the foreseeable future.
Brynlee always had a crush on Deacon ever since they first met when they were kids. They run into each other for the first time in years and there is an instant spark between them. The way their relationship grew was perfection and the way that Brynlee accepted Kennedy and made that little girl comfortable in such a way that I feel only she could have done was beautiful.
I absolutely loved these two! Deacon is absolute perfection, so sweet and kind but has such a filthy side to him that makes him even more irresistible. Brynlee is sassy, fierce and will put up with nothing but she also has such a softer side to her that really showed a vulnerable side. I think I was sobbing for a good portion for the last bit of the book.
I am so sad that this is the last in this series 😩 but I know we will see all these characters again

The fourth and final book in the Playing to Win series and its true what people mean when they say “saving the best for last” as with Brynlee and Deacon’s story, Bella Matthews has outdone herself. Sweet and steamy in equal measure, the Sweet Spot had a surprising touch of angst as Bryn was weighed down by a secret of the possibly life changing variety something she dealt with by ignoring it much to the annoyance of her mother whose reaction just made Bryn avoid all the more. Luckily, she had Deacon, her teenage crush to distract her who she lured with the tried and tested cherry stalk manoeuvre, yes, its an oldie but it’s a goodie. It worked, and the delicious Deacon was putty in her hands.
If you like your romance filled with wonderful, larger than life characters, strong family dynamics and and a whole lotta love, not forgetting the group texting which always makes me laugh then you won’t go wrong with these books. And while this is the last in this particular series, the Kingston/Beneventi/Sinclair families are nothing if not prolific so I’m sure a lot more visit to Kroyden Hills lie ahead. Personally, I’m developing a serious soft spot for Maddox and can’t wait to read whose lucky enough to win his heart. I also have my suspicions about the Kroyden Chronicles and I’m thinking there might be a Lady Whistledown situation going on and the culprit may lie close to home.
The Sweet Spot does run concurrent with Gracie’s story in The Knockout but if you haven’t read that book, first of all why not! And secondly it won’t spoil anything if you read them out of sync.

The Sweet Spot is the 4th book in the Playing to Win series, I devoured it in an afternoon!
I don’t know about you but I was so excited to read Brynlee’s story and look at her she got herself a super hot coach! Deacon is a single dad and the new coach for the Revolution. Brynlee and Deacon knew each other from summer time hang outs as kids, but Brynlee’s dad Cade told Deacon to back off because she was still too young for him. Once things start up with these two they get hot, heavy and serious pretty quickly. They go from spicy sleep to marriage in a blink. Once Brynlee shares a serious concern with him , he helps her take the next step to figuring out the future. Brynlee comes clean about the marriage to her family, they decide they want a do over and Scarlett takes over and starts planning. We once again get to see the St. James and Kingston family in all its glory, I love the tight family bond everyone has. This book was sweet and spicy just the way I like it.
*4.5
I kind of love that they fell in love instantly when they saw each other again. Obviously they didn't say that because that would be crazy but it's definitely what happened. They were really cute and I loved seeing Brynlee with Kennedy, she was able to make her feel comfortable. I do wish that one of the epilogues was her telling Deacon she's pregnant but they were still cute.
I received an arc from valentine pr.

This is the final book in the Playing to Win series. 10 years ago Brynlee had a crush on the hot hockey player, but he was off limits as he was older and her protective dad scared him away. She sees Deacon while on vacation and they reconnect. Deacon is now back in town to coach the hockey team and they start dating. They both have issues they are dealing with, but will they let those things get in the way of a love connection?
I have loved Brynlee for a long time and she seemed to get her perfect match in Deacon. He seemed to be a perfect match for Brylee, supporting her in all the ways she needed. Their relationship isn’t always perfect, but they are there for each other in all the important ways. These two had amazing chemistry and the spice was spicing. I loved watching their relationship develop and blossom.
I thought the dynamic between Deacon and his ex was interesting, as I always find it great when an author writes a positive ex-relationship. Deacon’s daughter was a great addition to the story. She has anxiety, and it was briefly touched on in this book. I liked how Brynlee connected with her in her way, using her experiences to guide her.
My favourite parts of Bella Matthews’ books are the friend group and family her characters have. They all love and support each other, holding each other up and being there in times of need. She makes me want to be a part of this found family. I love how much they love and care for each other and took Deacon and his daughter under their wings.
I’m sad this series is over, but know that it isn’t the end for Kroyden Hills. I loved this book and am so excited to see what comes next! Thank you to the author for a copy of this book. All opinions are 100% mine.
