Well this was an emotional and tense season so far for Kyro and Clove. A lot happens in this season. Clove finds out the truth about the attack from her childhood, she falls in love with Kyro, they finally consummate the marriage, and the royal tour has started. The mid-season break episode was intense and I need to know what happens next now!

11/9/20 omg the season ending was so good and sad. I can't wait for season 2. I need more Kyro and Clove!

Another webcomic that I binged in a matter of hours and now I am angry that I have to wait a week for the next episode. I need to know what happens next!!!!!!
I loved this enemies to lovers story. I can't wait to see how Clove and Kyro handle bringing peace to their war torn people.

I absolutely adored this (I binged this for 6 hours straight which made me sleep at 3 am). I love Kyro and Clove's dynamic and how they communicate about their issues frequently and openly to the point that conflicts between them don't last longer than necessary. I also like how the war was depicted fairly and realistically and how the other side characters were given strong backstories and established motivations and personalities.
However, it bothered me how the setting was based on Chinese culture yet the characters have prominent European features. And how Chinese folklore is rich with dragons yet there was no mention of any of them despite having dragons as a main part of the story. Also, on Kyro and Clove's first meeting, Kyro threatened Clove with rape to the point that Clove cried. We know that he didn't mean that now but that doesn't excuse that and I hate how this was not addressed at all and was just forgotten in the following episodes (I honestly didn't remember this too until someone had pointed it out to me). So, even though I really enjoyed the series later on, I can't give it 5 stars because of the bad taste all of these left me.

Done with season 1 and what a rollercoaster that was!
the artwork was amazing but, I really didn't like the way story started. Kyro was a total jerk, and then suddenly he turned soft for Clove? like what?
way too much attention given to Clove's body!
Ok, so it's turning out to be good with Clove actually being treated as a strong woman rather than just a damn body.
Hope in next season we'll see a lot of character development.
