This volume reaches to The start of season 2, the next stage of the games have begun and the main group just arrive at the port
Yadda yadda very very good series. Bit jarring how it’s at the end of one phase of the story, and then picks right back up into a multi-page explanation of the rules and a quite run down of the story though. I get why, it’s 2 volumes in one. But still a bit weird to read in one go.

Decent surprising trans rep though. Some odd random remarks that could be slightly transphobic but it’s not the worst I’ve seen come out of Japan on the topic. The character is a badass and strong on her own and very smart. She’s survived through her own will and determination and I do quite like her character overall honestly!
Graphic: Blood, Fire/Fire injury, Violence, Death, and Grief
Moderate: Gore
Minor: Death of parent and Suicide
