Worth getting the audiobook. Izzard's rambling style of comedy comes through so we'll listening to them read the book and riff on the text in the moment.

Do not simply read this book - find an audio copy and LISTEN to it. Izzard goes into so much depth and detail in their audio book that I highly recommend it.

I'm not a huge fan of memoirs, but this one is ok. I'm a fan of Eddie Izzard's comedy, and the fact that she ran 27 marathons in 27 days is mind blowing! The memoir reads very much in Izzard's voice. I didn't need the audio book to hear it. My heart hurt for her when she was coming out and the fear and anxiety. I was also impressed at the way Izzard would just decide that something was going to happen and then made it actually happen. If you're a fan, I'd say this is definitely worth the read.

An interesting look at his early life and how we started his career.

The book is a bit rambling at times, especially with all the added footnotes the author put in while reading it, but it is interesting and engaging. While coming out features in the book, it is much more about the struggle of making a career as a performer, both a comic and an actor.

I grew up loving Eddie Izzards stand up so was very happy to have the chance to read his memoirs. As far as autobiographies go it was decent. Generally full of humour, inspirational throughout, never dry, and well structured. It does ramble quite a lot though, making it not always the easiest thing to read. I'm happy to have read it but get the feeling it would be better as an audiobook.

Audiobook all the way on this one. There’s so much more in the audiobook as he goes off on tangential footnotes.
