I really enjoyed this MG graphic novel. It's essentially a contemporary boarding school setting, though there's a small touch of the fantastical in it near the end as well. For me, reading this as an adult, the resolution played out exactly the way I expected it to go, but it was still fun even though I wasn't surprised by the turn of events. Younger readers might have a different experience. I've always enjoyed Faith Erin Hicks's artwork, so this was a pleasure to look at visually in addition to enjoying the story part of the graphic novel.

This was............. generic. I may have actually read it twice. I'm assuming that I forgot about what happened the first time around and went to go read it again, but now I have also forgotten everything I read on my second try. Art is cute at least.
I LOVE Faith Erin Hicks' art, so it's a good bet I will at least like anything she puts out. I really liked the characters in this! I just wish it had been longer! I hope there is a sequel.

It's a bit predictable but it doesn't make it any less of a fun read. MC is so fun, we enjoy a confident MC who apologizes when they're wrong. There's humor, I laughed a few times. A fun read.

I waited a pretty long time for this. It got caught in the covid library not processing any new physical items. It was fine. I do like this creator. There's just something about the art and even the color that just works for me. And the text is good as well. But in the end its just a rich mean girl boarding school story. So its just a little better than okay with some minor fantastical elements. 3.5 of 5.
