I'm generally a fan of Faith Erin Hicks, but this was not it. It's very much a "if you get back at your oppressors you're just as bad as them" narrative, and there's a bizarre deus ex machina in the end that throws the entire story out of whack. It's a boring retread of the scholarship kid at the private school with absolutely no new elements to make it interesting.
I loved how Juniper was able to adjust to her new school. She made a new friend, earned good grades, helped her friend, and even admitted that she wasn't good at everything such as Art, or Fashion. However Juniper lost her temper, and had to face consequences. She wasn't the only one though. The bully Emily had to face consequences as well. Cassie stands by Juniper's side all along. Eventually, Cassie learns how to stand-up for her own self. Juniper and Cassie decide to continue their education together at Ellsmere.

I am becoming quite the fan of Faith Erin Hicks, but I'm not super fond of the "omg, unicorn" ending.
Ugh, again!
Overdone plot with a nice progress and neat characters; it all fell down to the mud with an unsatisfying conclusion.

A lovely graphic novel, with my favourite part being the boarding school atmosphere! You could say it's a bit of dark academia for middle graders!

Pretty good story about a girl at a boarding school who has to deal with bullying from rich snobby girls. The fantasy element kicks in near the end; mostly it's girls pranking each other and forming friendships.
