This review was originally posted on Star Crossed Reviews I received this book for free for a Blog Tour in exchange for an honest review. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review.Thank you to Melissa for my copy of this book and to Lisa for letting me take part in this tour. We have watched each of the Whiskey brothers fall in love and now it's Dixie's turn!

Dixie Whiskey is one of the strongest, toughest and sassy's characters I've ever seen. She grew up with 3 older brothers but she was determined that she would do everything they would. Dixie, however, needs to break free of their protective restraints. The Whiskey boys are scaring off all her potential suitors. I really love Dixie. She's a straight talker who doesn't take crap from anyone. She's definitely my kinda girl.

Jace Stone has built himself up from nothing. He has worked hard every day to get where he is now. He's a real rags to riches story but for him, it was never about the money. It was about being able to do what he loves every day. Jace Stone is easy to fall in love with. Not only is he hot as, but he also gives his time to others. He's set up various programs for children who are just like he was. He knows how hard it is to get somewhere in this life and he just wants to give them a step up. The reason this made me fall for Jace is that he was so modest about it. For him setting up these programmes and giving his time is no big deal. He can help so why shouldn't he, but not everyone thinks like Jace. For these children, it's a very big deal.

Dixie and Jace have been crushing on each for years. Jace has kept his distance because he didn't think he deserved a girl like Dixie. Dixie learned a long time ago that her and Jace were never gonna happen. That didn't stop her damn traitorous heart from hope though.

I really enjoyed the end of this book. Melissa got me again with the tears. This book was everything I had been hoping for, for Dixie and a hell of a lot more. Melissa really nailed this one on the head.

Taming My Whiskey
The Whiskeys: Dark Knights at Peaceful Harbor, Book 6
By: Melissa Foster
Narrated by: Devra Woodward, Aiden Snow

There is nothing better than being pulled into the Dark Knights family. Dixie has 3 brothers, and has grown up in the fold of the Dark Knights. She always has had a crush on Jace Stone, but when he asks her to be the calendar model for his release of female motorcycle apparel, she is hesitant, not only to model, but with her heart. Jace is taken with Dixie, but does not do relationships. How will they work together? Melissa Foster has done it again, wrapping me up in warmth and happiness as I listened to this incredible story. I love all the Whiskey men, but Dixie outshines them all. She us beautiful and smart but it’s her grit that I love. Spunky yet vulnerable, she had such real emotions and reacts just like I would. Jace has that something about him. He’s very charismatic, and is easy to fall for. The two are made for each other and I loved taking their journey. With the protectiveness of Dixie’s brothers, and the charm of Jace’s sister we get immersed in family love.

Narrated by Devra Woodward and Aiden Snow, their voices let us line in their moments. Woodward is incredible with her intuitiveness in Dixie’s mind and brings it out in her performance. Snow is perfect with his growlie sound, giving Jace that edginess. loved the team and can’t wait to see what is coming next!

A shot of Whiskey worth tasting

I despise the drink but love this family! Dixie Whiskey made me stop and smell the whiskey.

Feisty, opinionated and a non-apologetic badass- Dixie is every girls kind of heroine. It takes a strong man to stand beside that kind of woman...I would even say a man etched in Stone!

He's everything you want for her- flaws and all. Together they're a romantic's dream! One sip at a time!

Special thanks to Melissa Foster and Tasty Book PR for the advance copy in exchange for an honest review.

Taming My Whisky by Melissa Foster is the one STEAMY read. The story is all levels of hotness, just as the cover suggests.

Jace Stone is a man with no roots. His life as the part owner of Silver Stone Motorcycles requires a lot of travel. When his model bails, Jace wants one and only one person to be the face of his new clothing line, Leather and Lace - Dixie Whiskey, the girl he has admired from a far for years and years.

Dixie Whiskey is a women with lots of roots. As the daughter of the President of Dark Knights, her life is in Peaceful Harbor. Dixie wants nothing more to settle down with a family of her own. But with three overbearing brothers, Dixie has yet to find her happy ending.

When Jace begs Dixie to be the face of Leather and Lace, the tiny sparks between the two develop into the wildest of fires. Jace and Dixie just ooze this very intense chemistry. I kid you not....50% of the time I felt like my E-reader was melting.

Taming My Whiskey is one impeccably hot and steamy ride. It is emotional, angsty and raw. Melissa Foster knows not only how to turn up the heat, she also knows how to pull at your heart strings the entire way through.

Recommendation: A Must Read

Dixie finally finds love despite her brothers overbearing ways to stop all men from daring to touch their sister. Dixie is a strong, independent, intelligent woman that doesn’t take anything from anyone. She is the type of heroine that I love to read about. She is a take no Sh!# from anyone type of woman, but also has a heart of gold that lets her soft mushiness come out around those she loves.

We’ve met Jace Stone when he offered her brother a job building motorcycles for the. Jace is a wealthy business owner who never settled down for anyone. But when he first met Dixie at a motorcycle show when she was younger, he felt a pull to her and knew she was too young for him. Years later he meets up with her, and feels a deeper pull to have her and now that she’s older, he gives in.

Jace is a true alpha-man. He knows what he wants and goes for it. He is the only man, man enough, to go against Dixie’s brothers to have her.

Their love story is soo beautiful. I loved reading how Jace showed Dixie he cared about her and I loved the sass that Dixie gave Jace. Melissa Foster’s MC world with the Whiskeys is always a great read. I can’t wait for more so I see how the characters in the previous stories turn out.

I’ve been waiting on this one forever and it did not disappoint.

The theme throughout is that love isn’t easy and any love worth having is a love worth fighting for. When you find the right person, your life feels complete for the first time.

Dixie and Jace have history and it’s going to take some work to navigate through that for two very stubborn individuals.

A quote I found online fits perfectly:

When a man truly love a woman she becomes his weakness. When a woman truly loves a man he becomes her strength. This is called the Exchange of Power.

We have Dixie Whiskey's story and I could not be happier. I loved this book! Melissa Foster has written a story that's equal part sexy and tender. I'm obsessed with the family dynamics and the loyalty throughout. With an added element of forbidden and unrequited love. Ah! It's so good!!

Dixie has been the one character that intrigued me the most since the first time I dove into the Whiskey world. I've wanted her story for what feels like forever. I've always enjoyed her sass and her spitfire attitude and we get that in Taming My Whiskey. However, I loved that she showed some vulnerability. It made her more relatable and open. I'm so glad we see her stand up to her protective older brothers and take her life back.

Jase was all driven, alpha goodness. A business focused self made man, he didn't stay or settled in one place for long. He didn't do relationships. But with Dix you see more of a softness and so much care. There were times where I was frustrated with him but that only because I loved them together.

It took a minute for me to get into the story. This seems to happen everytime I read a Melissa Foster book. There are just so many character to keep track of including some crossovers from other series I haven't read yet. I find myself stopping and researching trying to find out who these characters are delaying my reading experience.

If you're looking for a fun yet surprisingly emotional romance with explosive character chemistry. You need this. It's always a joy to revisit the Whiskey world!!
