Less impressed with the sequel, but it was still entertaining enough to read in one sitting.
The negative changes in Don (compared to the first book) make me so mad. Why is he so... SO selfish? And Rosy forgives him in the end, as if it all does not matter. I wish I'd read the first book and stopped there.
Obviously I liked it. The thing is for me Don Tillman was just the geneticist version of Sheldon Cooper when I read the Rosie Project. Starting The Rosie Effect, he became more, he became real. I could feel his pain, love, and confusion. I understood him more than I expected, and in a point or two, I almost cried for him.
My only problem with this book was Rosie. I didn't get her reasons, and her concerns and I didn't understand how she changed her mind almost suddenly at the end.
Anyway, I enjoyed the story.

I loved the Rosie Project and this was a great follow-up. Not quite as good as the first, but still an entertaining, easy read!
I wish I had left it off at book #1. This sequel includes an interesting cast of characters and plenty of twists and turns to keep someone interested in the story, so I understand the ongoing rave reviews. For me, it was overly stressful. It lacks the humor and lightheartedness of the first book which is really a shame.
I'm not one who normally goes for sequels, but Don Tillman's relationship adventures were too hard for me to resist after my enjoyment of The Rosie Project.
The Rosie Effect wasn't quite a masterpiece, hence the four stars, but I, again, loved the insight into the Aspergers brain. I think this is compounded by my career, as not only is this insight interesting, it's useful.

I didn't enjoy this as much as the Rosie Project, however, I would recommend it. It is funny and poignant. I hope ther is another in the series
not as good as the first one in series but still a good read.
