Love love love Don & Rosie. The sequel lost a bit of the original luster, but the audio is still fantastic.
funny inspiring

All I can say is that I sort of wish this book wasn't written. No devastating repercussions of reading it, but it gave me secondhand anxiety and I was not okay with that.
funny lighthearted medium-paced

This series is so entertaining. I think there is a little bit of Don Tillman in all of us.

This was quite a dissapointment. I didn't expect not loving this since the first one really suprised me so much. Lack of communication causing relationship issues are a really easy and cheap way to write a story. It's almost never believable or done right, but normally I can get over it since it's only a subplot. In this book it's the main event and even though it does make a little sense because of the way Don is it still annoyed me SO MUCH. I also didn't like Don as much as in the last book, but at least he didn't do a 360. Rosie her actions were so stupid and didn't make any sense. After that the sotry still had to be finished though, so the author just fixed everything quickly in a total unrealistic way. But hey, everythings all right now, so it doesn't matter right? Just no. I added a star however for Don, I love how he isn't the typical main character. He brought a few refreshing situations as long Rosie wasn't part of it.

While I found the thought processes of Don incredibly funny, I struggled to finish this book because of the profanity. Since I was reading it for a book club, I finished it.

This book definitely isn't as good as the first; it doesn't have the same charm. In fact, it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. We find out that Rosie is pregnant and the relationship between Don and Rosie deteriorates from there, but for no explainable reason (or when it is explained, it doesn't make any sense). Don is intrigued by the baby and sets out to solve problems for it (including a sound proof crib that's still breathable, and we never see nor hear about this crib again after he gets it...), but Rosie thinks he's not acting fatherly so she's done. Really? That's enough for her to get up and leave Don?

Rosie was a completely different character from the first book and it made no sense. I don't think Simsion did justice to the follow up.
