Don und Rosie erwarten ihr erstes Kind. Don versucht sich vorzubereiten in dem er sich alles nötige Wissen aneignet. Theorie und Praxis sind aber nie dasselbe, was immer zu komischen Situationen führt. Obwohl Don alles analytisch betrachtet und Emotionen nicht seine Stärke sind, sind es doch schlussendlich seine Gefühle, die entscheidend sind.
Sehr locker und leicht zu lesen, bringt einem immer wieder zum Lachen. Ein richtige Gute-Laune-Buch.

Aki szerette a Rosie Projektet, mert Don Tillman felejthetetlen karakter, akkor az a folytatásban sem fog csalódni. Mert szerencsére ő továbbra is teljesen lebilincselő és érdekes és aranyos és kedves, és az ember szinte beleszeret, de aztán emlékezteti magát, hogy nem éppen egyszerű egy ilyen alakkal együtt lenni, bármennyire is képes tökéletes pillanatokat létrehozni, az idő többségében eléggé idegesítő tud lenni. Don próbál úrrá lenni a káoszon, megküzdeni az ismeretlennel, s közben van összeszoruló szív, meg kacagás és elmorzsolt könnycsepp is. Viszont van egy nagy hibája a könyvnek (erről a SPOILER részben írtam) és azon nehéz túltennie magát az olvasónak. Ha ez ki lenne iktatva és másképp megoldva, akkor tökéletes folytatás lenne, mert van benne elég új elem ahhoz, hogy frissnek és ne ismétlésnek tűnjön. Így azonban bukott 2 csillagot nálam.

I read The Rosie Project last year despite some of the criticism on Amazon, and I loved it! I was very interested to learn what the author could possibly add to that story since I believe that it ended perfectly. I have to say that I enjoyed The Rosie Effect just as much as I enjoyed The Rosie Project. The author stayed true to Don's character and I'd definitely read a third book if he ever chose to release one!
I agree that some of the original tension from the first book is missing (as it usually is when reading a book that takes place after the character's HEA) however I loved reading about how much Don has grown as a person, and he certainly grows further in the story. I would certainly recommend it to anyone who needs a light fun story to read.

Ein Feelgood-Hörbuch ohne wirklichen Plot oder emotionalen Impact. Echt nett, es sich anzuhören, aber auch nicht wirklich spannend. Könnte mir aber gut vorstellen, es später mal weiterzuhören.
Why was Don talking to everyone EXCEPT Rosie?? It's like a bad rom com, but at least in the rom com they have the excuse that they're not together yet. <Spoiler>Who gets pregnant on purpose without talking about it first?? Who moves apartments without talking about it first?? And then the rest of the book is just each person independently guessing at problems and trying to resolve them on their own up until a much too neat ending where finally the "right" pieces of information are shared to completely change her mind. </Spoiler> Ugh so annoying to read. Also annoyed that they make it sound like it's ok to drink some alcohol when you're pregnant, but that's a very small part of the book.
