This had a lot of potential to be a deep romance instead of just the surface level physical relationship. I felt disappointed because the romance was only hinted at instead of developed. I know it is slightly touched upon in future books in this collection, but it felt incomplete. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great. 3 stars

This was a meh read for me.
I delivered on the smut part, don't get me wrong. The issue was...the characters had 0 depth/substance. And I'd have let that be, but they did confess their "love" for each other and it felt like the "love" came out of nowhere. It just didn't make sense.
This is completely a soft-core bdsm setting. In that context this was so well written. Like it had me comparing this book to fifty shades of grey lol. And it wasn't too in ur face. Things flowed in and out so well. Tactfully and deliciously written.
The heroine wasn't that whiney, and the hero wasn't that annoying so that's definitely a win in a book where all the characters constantly sounded fake and forced. It was definitely more than I expected from the two MCs given they were so two-dimensional from the get go.
Plot-wise...there's kinda no plot. At least not one that makes sense. So if you're gonna read it, read it for the smut and don't expect much of anything else.
