While this book was good, so many things were brought into the story that were never resolved at the end. I found that kind of odd.
The characters spent too much time in their head and no time talking to each other. It was disappointing to get fragments of stories from introspection and never get the full story from talking to the other character. Her issue was brought up in a few different ways but we never got the full story in one go. Because of that, I had a hard time buying into each character.

This was a joke, right? This was comically bad. It’s extremely heteronormative, grossly misogynistic, and just plain bad BDSM. The story was nonsensical, the characters spend absolutely no time together outside of sex. It’s very verbose and words/phrases are repeated frequently. There’s this threat of Lucian’s family that is just… never resolved? Literally nothing happens from it. Why even put it in the story, that’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever read.
