OK. My review rating shouldn't actually influence anyone but me in this instance. I have discovered that anthologies are not my thing. I don't like it. I needed/wanted more of stories and it drove me crazy when the storyline moved so quickly (never thought I would say that). I really just wanted more.. and obviously that is the opposite of what the purpose of an anthology is. That is why as an overall rating this is a 2. Each individual story is as follows:
1. Cutthroat - Murder and Ski Resorts. 3 Stars
2. Tamed - Vet with slaves. 3 Stars
3. Asphyxiate - Guy with god complex during sex. 3 Stars
4. History X - Professor/Student, potential lots of murder (need more info) 4 Stars
5. Sanctum - Creepy Woodworker and hostages. 3 Stars
6. Exposure - Revenge on high school bullies. 4 Stars
7. Ash City - Undercover CIA agent. 4 Stars
8. Terrene - Brother/Sister taboo. Murder. 2 Stars
9. Corruption - Age gap. Troop leader and former scout. 3 Stars
10. Carnal Value - Slaves as a business. 2 Stars (unless the girl murders all then 4 Stars)
11. Malefactor - Guy gets arrested to kill guy who hurt his girl. 2 Stars
12. Axed - Murdering of former bullies but framing someone else. 2 Stars
13. Fertile Ground - Kidnapping. Murder. Planting those bodies. 4 Stars
14. Caged - Baseball. Older brothers boyfriend. 2 Stars
15. Corrupt Us - Age Gap. Bikers. Marriage. 2 Stars
16. Archers Release - Stepbrothers. Archery/Pain kink. Reformed bullying? 3 Stars
It took a decade to read. So no more anthologies for Laura.
