Terrible audio production, with abrupt jumps in the middle of sentences, missing chunks, probably other pieces out of order. Made a complex structure almost impossible to follow. Characters much more thinly drawn than in predecessors, and plot hinges on superhuman and deeply unrealistic math skills that make an autistic boy into a cartoon.

I was a little skeptical about this one since it's by a different author. The fact that there were notes left for him and he was chosen by the estate of Larson made me feel better, but I was still nervous. But I had no need to be, I thought it was a good continuation of the series. It was a little slower plot-wise than the rest of the series, but still quite enjoyable to read.

Obviously this isn't the sameauthor, so it reads a little differently. I am a little sad that a certain relationship from the previous book is ignored. There's also more pop references that I reconize..I dont know if I like or dislike that, since one reason I enjoyed the books was the ability to read about cultural isms in Sweden.
Regardless, I am grateful that such a talented author took up the mantle to finish the story.

I was looking forward to hanging out with Lisbeth and Blomkvist again, and although it was a nice visit, it was a rather underwhelming compared to Larsson's books. There wasn't as much interaction between L & B as I was expecting. Overall a decent book that continues the theme of "men who hate women."

Really enjoyed this. Even though Larsson sadly never got to write it, I feel like Lagercrantz understood the assignment well! His writing style is so similar to Larsson’s, but I’ll admit, it is missing a little bit of Larsson’s panache, but that was to be expected. It was still an incredible book and still incredibly well written. I felt like Salander’s character was a lot tamer in this book compared to Larsson’s but I actually enjoyed that, it was nice reading her in a more “human” manner! Overall, great book and great continuation of the series.

el libro emieza con muchos personajes nuevos, tramas nuevas, y no comenzó a arrancar hasta el 30%. Habia un monton de informacion nueva constantemente, que ademas no sirve mas q para rellenar paginas.
Al principio me gustaba como escribia este nuevo escritor, pero luego no, porque sigue mucho menos a los personajes y es mucho mas pesado dando informacion
me aburro, me parece predecible, me parece q ha sido una resolucion muy rapida y apresurada, y que no tiene sentido
hay muchas cosas q quedan en el aire, la revista, erika, la relacion de mikael y lisbeth y como se comportan, todo lo q piensa lisbeth, x dios q rabia, la investigacion ha durado como 2 dias y ya esta todo resulto, y lo resuleven todo rapido xq dos personas son las que aportan toda la información en una comversación, poco creible, surrelista
es que no se ve el proceso de la incestogación
siento que este libro tiene muchas páginas para lo poco que cuenta, no aparece casi ningun personaje, no tiene sentido (solo aparece el autista y ya)
un monton de personajes q luego ni se mencionan y desapaprece, faltan paginas y a la vez sobran x todos lados
como q la trama la cuentan de una manera q no se me hace interesante
me paso el libro buscando nombres en el kindle 24/7 xq no me acuerdo quien diablos eran
los personajes no se sientes reales, este libro parece q se ha documentado muy bien en cuanto a informacion con los anteriores, pero no se ha familiarizado con los personajes, no tiene sentido como se comportan
en general no ha estado mal, pero tampoco bien, le doy un aprobado xq ya estoy familiarizada con la historia y me gusta, pero vaya circo, es q hay tanta información q sobra sobre informatica, hackers, savants y matematicas, muchas matematicas (lo peor es q me entretenian, pero a la vez me da pereza)
en realidad xreo q lo malo de este libro pese a todo es q la historia no es buena, no es una buena trama, es aburrida y conspiranoica, y se hace pesada, ese es el verdadero problema

I am a big fan of Stieg Larsson's Millennium series. I am a bigger fan of the heroine of the series, Lisbeth Salander. She makes these stories special. I am glad that the Millennium series has been continued by David Lagercrantz after the untimely death of Mr. Larsson. This continuation of the series from a new author measures up quite well. At the center of the story is a little boy with autism. His story is combined with computer (in)security, encryption and decryption, corrupt corporations and national security agencies, and some really rotten Russian gangsters! What a great story! My only complaint is: not enough Lisbeth! I want more. She is a fascinating and compelling personality. She is strong, incredibly smart, and completely dedicated to righting injustice and corruption using her most unorthodox means. She is a master hacker and coolest heroine i've read about for some time. I am looking forward to the next installment in this series - with MORE Lisbeth please :)

I wanted to continue to read about Lisbeth so was excited to read this book. I found the story line interesting but i found the structure of the book very disjointed. I almost needed a cheat sheet - which is in the front of the book by the way - who is that character?

For the most part it felt like it was written by Larsson which was nice. The characters felt the same, but the excitement was for the most part low. It's a if he got bored at the end and wanted to finish writing the book right when I wanted a stand off. After all Lisbeth wasn't the same character that I fell in love with.
