This was the longest and my least favorite of the thirty-some books I've read by Dixon. I would have DNFed, but I wanted to know what happened to the slaves/slavers. I like long books, but I didn't like Helen's character at all. She's very "touch him and die" without any knowledge that she's doing something wrong. Most morally gray characters know it's wrong and they've made peace with it, but Helen has no idea that killing (described on page) multiple people is a problem on any level. Add that to the very repetitive talk about how "innocent and dangerous" she is, and I was bored (and a little creeped out). The spicy scenes were boring, too. Helen literally came after he touched her twice.

I really loved this series and I think Mathiras and Helen’s story was a great way to finish it off. I look forward to reading Bethiah’s story. It’s definitely going to be a wild ride.

Honestly I thought that Helen would drive me up the wall with how childish she was but then Ruby threw a spanner in the works and actually gave her some more depth!!!

Helen is a genetically engineered assassin???who has to deal with the emotions that come with murdering clones of her sister?

Im still not at all a fan of the "born sexy yesterday" trope from sci fi that Helen totally falls into.

Really Mathiras is the one who annoyed me. He was such a stress head! Who underestimated his gf! Both Helen and Matty are ppl I'm not attracted to lmao but it was still  so much fun to read their bedroom scenes. Surely by now we are not that surprised by the spur so I was overjoyed we had some different genitalia from Helen! It's not that believable that she hadn't already masturbated in my opinion. I think that plays into the born sexy yesterday thing - Matty was the one who helped her discover her sexuality and I think it would have been stronger for Helen to discover herself!!! Maybe when they were hiding out in the previous three books and Matty just having to deal with it hahahaha

It's kind of gross (and logical as a sex slave clone) that she had a lot of clits all over her body! Nice addition to the alien sex we've been getting lmaoooo  I'm really glad to get some more lady genitalia
