oh this was unbearable. or rather, dora was unbearable. she's unbelievably irritating and i just couldn't deal with her. barely finished for that reason. another issue is that i'm really not sure how old the author is, and i'm not sure if she's ever interacted with teenagers. because the dialogue is terrible and nobody talks like that. and my biggest issue is the constant use of ableist slurs. that's what dropped this rating down to a zero. i have literally no tolerance for it. as an autistic person i just cannot stand you if you use ableist slurs for shock value. no interest in reading anything from this author and i only finished this so i could add it here. terrible read.

Drugs, wigs, Freud, film. This is like Palahniuk wrote YA fiction.

Another troubled smart girl book. This one is even quirkier than most and you have to let go of your disbelief and let some of the action just happen without questioning it too much, but worth a read when strongly written women characters are in short supply.
