This was sugary sweet. If you want something with low drama this is a quick read. I enjoyed the audiobook. Nothing too remarkable about this story, but it’s a great listen to between the more emotional books.

Tiny woman with a tiny hobby and a big dog fake dates a dyslexic hockey player. Finally a coupled orgasm! Can’t complete five dates.

The premise of this was really interesting, but I found the dirty talk to be cringey and not realistic to what someone would say in bed. I also found the MMC kind of bland and unlikeable. This is the first book of a series but it appears to be a spinoff because there are too many inside jokes and references and I simply don’t care enough to seek out the original book/series and delve into this world.
There were one too many romcom shenanigans for my liking so I’m giving up at 80%

This book is so bad. There is no connection and no chemistry between characters whatsoever.

This author writes like a wattpad writer. The bad prose, excessive similes to compensate for the bad prose, bad dialogue, bad characterization, just overall bad.

The plot flowed better, a more realistic setting than Tomboy (A Hartigan Novel) by the same author. However, I got so weirded out the involvement of parents in a dating app, it’s a bit unrealistic especially when you’re MCs both don’t exactly need help in the “dating” department.
It’s light and sweet, will definitely read more of this author’s works! It’s really entertaining!

I would say 3.5 stars. It’s a good story, low angst. The FMC was a little grating. The issue of “communication is the only conflict,” is basically it on her end and it’s aggravating I guess. The story isn’t super well developed, but great if you are just looking for an easy read.
