This book had everything, a quintessential Nora Roberts! Not one, but THREE deftly woven love stories, and the emergence of sisterly love for good measure. Of course there’s suspense, and some twists, and a picturesque backdrop for it all. It was complex without being complicated, and I really, really liked it.
4.5 stars. This is always a favorite! I love the dynamics of the three Mercy sisters. They are some of the most memorable and loved for me.
This story is interesting in that it's like three romances in one--though Willa & Ben's is the "main" romance. I like all three of the sisters--there personalities couldn't be more different. I liked all three of the men--they were all perfect for their prospective female. The murder mystery kept me guessing until the very end which is always a huge bonus for me. I try so hard to figure it out along the way, but secretly never really want to know until the end.
whatever happened to strong female characters who didn't need a man in their life? it seemed as though the men had no flaws, and all they did was point out to the women that the women had flaws and the women fell in love with them anyway. and a woman who just came out of an abusive marriage meets and marries someone else in less than 9 months? i feel like the characters started out strong in the beginning but then instead of growing, they declined. and i don't like it when authors bounce from point-of-view to point-of-view with each paragraph; from Willa's thoughts to Ben's thoughts to Tess's thoughts, etc. i'm not one to usually bash romance; i do read and enjoy it quite often. but this book really bothered me.

Fantastic! This is one of my favorite Nora Roberts books so far. Three sisters (same father, different mothers) meet at their father’s funeral and they all must live together for a year to get ownership of the ranch. Of course, there is suspense and 3 luscious men for the sisters. I loved all the characters in this book along with the story. 5 glorious stars!
I love re-reading this book. It has always been one of my favorites. 3 strangers born siblings come together to become sisters in a year as they fall in love and deal with a murderer out to scare them.
would’ve given it five stars if not for the gory violence and overdrawn plot. it was super engaging, thrilling, and i loved the characters and plot. very well done.
Slow going but then it hits you, then you cant put it down because you have to know what happens!
