Always enjoy IAD. Declan and Regin’s story is darker than others but I still enjoyed it. I really enjoyed the character development of Declan. I know people are divisive on him but his backstory made him make sense to me and overall I liked him for Regin.

The last fourth of the book was super fun and I love Thad and Lothaire together forever.

CW: graphic violence, addiction, torture, dubious consent, kidnapping, homophobia (mild)

Expectations are everything I guess! I didn’t love the central romance, but the B-plot with Lothaire and Thad was A+ chefs kiss.

Regin is a Valkyrie and Declan is a reincarnated Berserker.

Notes: takes place on a remote island + NOLA. Both Regin and Declan are white immortals.

I'll add a full review later, but this was SO GOOD!  I know I'm supposed to be really psyched about Lothaire's book being next in the series but I'm still reeling from this one!  I don't see how Lothaire can top Declan Chase.
