Just as fun and stupid as it was the first time I read this manwha. The story makes little sense (though if I remember correctly the last volume resolves some questions), but I'm living for the characters, the ridiculousness, the fourth wall breaks, and the outfits.

June is meant to be the next Queen of Light. Well, at least she's training for it, but no one really wants her to actually be the queen one day - including herself. This changes when a rival candidate for the throne angers her enough to wake her ambition.
From then on, no one in their school is safe anymore - especially when the demons June accidentally awoke start attacking.
As this was my first manga ever, I may be a little biased here.
And, first of all, I have to admit, the storyline is more than a bit confusing. It is clear enough to get the grid on the first time reading, but if you really want to understand everything, you might end up re-reading it more than just three more times.
However, for me this adds to the appeal. No matter how many times I re-read this series, I always discover something new.
Also, the artwork is just gorgeous. I would recommend it for the art alone.
But the story is also really enjoyable.
June is a really interesting main character, being silly and strong at the same time like manga heroines often are. She does not just stay this way as the story grows darker, allowing for her to grow throughout the story.
The supporting characters are equally interesting.
There are forth-wall breaks and hints about other popular manga, which makes up a lot of the humor. There are also lots of sappy, but beautiful dialogues, but I am all in for those when it comes to manga.
All in all, I can say that this is a story I will forever come back to.
And if you like fantasy, nice art, self-ironic humor and plot twists, you should definitely try this one as well.

Naja, zumindest geht sie auf die entsprechende Akademie, aber niemand dort will so wirklich, dass sie tatsächlich Königin wird – einschließlich ihr selbst. Allerdings gibt es da noch Lucia, ihre Rivalin in Herzensangelegenheiten. Von der kann June sich schließlich nicht schlagen lassen, und so muss ein Plan her, der ihre katastrophalen Noten verbessern und sie an die Spitze der Anwärterinnen auf den Thron bringen kann.
Von da an ist keiner der Akademieschüler mehr sicher. Schließlich ist es June versehentlich gelungen, den Dämonenkönig höchstpersönlich zu wecken, den größten Feind der Königin des Lichts...
Ich gebe zu, ich bin vielleicht ein wenig voreingenommen bei dieser Bewertung. „June the little Queen“ war der erste Manga – oder eher Manhwa – den ich je gekauft und gelesen habe.
Ich gebe zu, die Story ist ziemlich verwirrend. Ich habe die Reihe jetzt schon über zwanzig Mal komplett durchgelesen, und ich entdecke immer noch neue Dinge, die ich vorher nicht so recht verstanden habe.
Allerdings bedeutet das auch, dass ich immer wieder gerne auf diesen Manga zurückkomme.
Die Zeichnungen hier sind wunderschön und einzigartig, und wären für mich schon ein ausreichender Grund um die Serie zu lieben. Die Charaktere sind auch sehr liebenswürdig und die Dialogie strotzen nur so vor selbstironischem Humor und sentimental-philosophischen Gedankengängen, von denen ich – leider, möchte man fast sagen – ein sehr großer Fan bin.
Insgesamt kann ich nur sagen, dass ich diesen eher unbekannten Manhwa jedem Fantasy-Fan ans Herz legen möchte, da er es allemal verdient hat, ein wenig bekannter zu werden.
