this book sparked so many emotions! i was angry, hurt, offended, disgusted. yet, it was hard to put the book down. so much ignorance and injustice in this world. there's no way the government can ever make up for the damage done to the wrongfully accused!

A man was five days from getting the needle when eventually DNA evidence sets him free. Grisham uses his potboiler style to tell the compelling tale of a miscarriage of justice in a small Oklahoma town...and to ask big questions about our criminal justice system and the death penalty. 3 Martinie glasses.

It was good. A little hard to get into because there are so many names to remember. And it read like an episode of 60 minutes. The injustice really ticked me off though. It's ridiculous to think people are so careless with their jobs and in turn, someone's life.

This was a crazy story that you can hardly believe is true, but that's what makes it scary. It's laid out very factually, but still reads as a novel.

Life-changing.
