I don’t even know how to feel about this series. The first one is tolerably a kids book, albeit fairly dark and emotional, and then the series just continually doubles down on a traumatizing horrors of war story about LITTLE KIDS! If I had read this when I was the target age group, I would be even LESS okay than I am now!  What the hell, Suzanne Collins??! Hunger Games was one thing, but WHAT IS YOUR DAMAGE?? The series is very well-written and effective though. The better to emotionally destroy you.

This is the last book in the Gregor series. It's heartbreaking to reach the end of what was an amazing journey. I love this series and will always recommend it to everyone. Fly you high.

Amazing book. Amazing series. I was sad when it ended, so I read it again.

Complex characters, cliffhangers that kept me up late, good messages that are surprisingly timely. Picked this series up at the recommendation of my 10-year-old nephew, so I could discuss it with him, and loved all of it.

Very engaging finale to the series. I enjoyed the upper-middle-grade action and grappling with issues such as death and violence. I appreciated the character development and much if the resolution, but I found the ending disappointing.
