What a delightful book about hard-pressing human issues. When Libby gets handed two unwanted life-altering events, she needs to realize how and why to work through it. Great humor and nice one-liners. Very well done I thought. I love the title and cover too.

Well, the publisher doesn't accuse me of being mentally disabled, so that's a start.
I didn't know what to do with myself, so as bitter and medicinal as the (dirty) martini was, I set about drinking it as though each sip would make it more appetizing. Which proved to be true.
Control's an illusion.

Gotten over? More like developed urinary incontinence and a consortium of ulcers.

I thought this was really good. I don't usually enjoy novels about what to do when life falls apart; however, I found the main character to be an excellent mixture of both sassy and vulnerable. Her struggle to overcome both hardships and her own fear in order to move forward was very realistic and relatable.

Downloaded the audio book on a whim. I like the narrator, and have heard other books she has done, so that's a bonus. It's a sweet story, a little cloying in a few places, a little sad in others. But overall, worth my time.

In the beginning, I didn't like this book. I had trouble getting into it. I really disliked the main character, Libby. But the further into the book I got, the more I liked it. I did feel like the ending was a bit rushed, but overall I enjoyed it. I would definitely read more by this author.

I really enjoyed this book. It dealt with the heavy topic of having cancer as well losing a loved one to cancer, but I thought the author did a wonderful job handling the story and was even able to interject some humor and romance. A quick read, hard to put down.

Not going to rate it, since I didn't get far--I stopped at Chapter 8/19% in the book. I then skipped to the gag-worthy epilogue, and was glad I stopped when I did. Not my cup of tea!

Quick read that has some humor, some romance and moments when a cry prone person will likely lose it. I'm not one of those. Some of the writing is a bit awkward, some sentences I tried to read several times, trying to sort out what the author was trying to say. Otherwise, a pretty light story about dealing with getting handed a potentially fatal cancer diagnosis. Not sure how I feel about the ending, though I figured that was where it was heading. I'm more reality based, so a bit skeptical that such a tale would end happy-happy in real life.

I think this book had some beautifully written excerpts, enough for me to highlight a couple quotes (which i rarely do). But, it felt like a slow and pretty predictable read. I would recommend it to someone who needs a sappy, straight forward & feel-good book. I would consider reading something else from this author, this type of book just wasn’t really for me.

An easy read that had great descriptions and has left me dying to visit Puerto Rico. Seems formulaic at times, then goes off course, refreshingly. I liked it.
