Very cute and also a little scary! Loved Harvey, Leopold and Horatio. Hope there are more adventures to come!

I liked the book, it wasn’t as captivating as I thought it would be, but I liked Olive and the plot. I wanted to give 3.5 stars. Almost a 4, but not quite. At some point I will read the rest of the books in the series.

I loved this book! I don't normally read young adult novels, but when I read the description for this one, I knew I wanted to give it a chance. This book is very imaginative, funny, and I enjoyed the suspense and mystery within. This is a great first novel by the author and I am looking forward to reading future novels by her.

I really liked this book. Spooky, excellent and pervasive figurative language, classic narrative arc. Imagine if Shirley Jackson rewrote The Haunting of Hill House for early middle schoolers but maintained the sentence-level quality of the writing. If you're into John Bellairs, Neil Gaiman, CS Lewis, check it out. It starts to feel a bit like it's trying too hard to be made into a movie towards the middle, but it gets surprisingly heavy at the climax.
