I agree with another reader that the writing is too grandiose. It's charming at the beginning but constant verbosity eventually grates. I would nonetheless recommend this book for its closing chapter. Frank Chimero's analogy of design as a gift to its intended audience feels particularly inspired to me.

Short read. I've enjoyed Mr. Chimero's writing online for years, and was eager to see his offering in book format. The latter parts of the book were particularly lovely and poignant.

Delightful meditations upon the nature of design, and indeed, of this wonderful world we find ourselves in.

Banal. The odd nice sentence, but generally vague and superficial.

Reflection on designing as a dancing and iterative collaboration between the designer and the audience, on stepping in to make a mark and stepping back to see how it's all fitting together.
