After the second time the MMC was a complete prick to the FMC, I promised myself that I would DNF if it happened again. So I did. I’m really not interested in reading about man-children who can’t deal with their emotions.

3.5/5 stars ⭐ After starting this, I realized I read the first book in this series over three years ago and remember why I didn't continue it back then. Melanie Harlow is a good writer, but she loves incorporating the big happy family life. Nothing wrong with it, I just personally prefer my romance books without all that. That being said, I don't feel right rating this low just bc that isn't my cup of tea. The plot kept my interest and some parts made me laugh out loud. I took off a star bc I wish it was a slower burn, but the chemistry was still there and I enjoyed most of it.

 Este libro lo leí para el "The eras books challenge" en el mes de enero tocaba el álbum debut de Taylor, la verdad la lectura fué bastante ligera y me hizo reír varias veces, el libro es el comienzo de la segunda saga de "Cloverleigh Farms", aunque igual no es tan necesario leerte la primera saga para comprenderlo ya que cuando se mencionan a los personajes de esa saga (quienes son la generación mayor de estos personajes) te van explicando muy bien su relación familiar.

La verdad es que la pasé muy bien leyendo a Dex y Winnie, pero disfruté más las escenas con las hijas de Dex, son tan divertidas que te sacan varias carcajadas.

Lo recomiendo mucho si quieres algo ligero con mucho cliché de "amigos con beneficios que juran no enamorarse", solo ten en cuenta que el age gap son 12 años, pero creo que está muy bien llevado acabo esto y cómo es que se hace la relación, obviamente todo con consentimiento y siendo los dos mayores de edad.

could have done away with the overemphasis on the age gap, and dex is easily the most infuriating character. the little girls are cute and funny, though.
