Melanie Harlow writes such fast moving dialogue, so many quips contain callbacks and double-meanings, it's almost Gilmore Girls-esque.
I don't care that this is basically a rehash of Mack and Frannie's book. That's like complaining that High School Musical and High School Musical 2 are the same plot, just in different locations.

3.5⭐️enjoyed the storyline, the foul language was a bit too much for me and sometimes made it difficult to read especially when that happened near a child. Anyways, liked the humor and the funny moments that put a smile on my face.
Dex is a grumpy, unlikable, really trying to be a good dad, but even more interested in being a good neighbor, who needed to constantly comment on how young his hot neighbor was.
Dex was a hot mess that could take control in the bed room, but couldn’t seem to get control of his emotions and acted like a toddler that skipped all his naps 90% if the book.
Was it corny? Yes. Did Dex keep making the age gap weird? Yes. Was Winnie a GD boss owning her own home with emotional maturity that callled Dex out on his shit at 22? Yes.
Honestly, it was refreshing to have a book with a MMC that wasn’t perfect and had lots of flaws. It showed struggles of co-parentings, dealing with hard issues and growth in facing fears.
4 stars. I enjoyed it.

3.5 not bad but he was a little too grumpy with a little bit too many red flags. He’s like 34 & needs anger management along w therapy not a girlfriend lol
