Hilariously funny. Ridiculously Sexy!

This was such a great read! So relatable! I am Winnie, Winnie is me... The girl who falls to hard and too fast for the wrong guy but still believes in happily ever afters! Dex, the ex military, firefighter single father... WHEW!

3.5!!! cute!!!

This novel is much weaker than the author's previous fare. It's kind of paint-by-numbers, with the plot too similar to the first book of the original Cloverleigh Farms series. While the secondary characters were fun, there was a lot of fluff and some stilted dialogue that didn't do much to propel the story. Overall, far from the author's best.

The hero is in a perpetually bad mood and unable to process adult-human feelings, so he lashes out at everyone around him (heroine, as well as his sister, ex-wife, and daughters) and these women are all supposed to just take it and patiently counsel him until he sees the light. This is particularly jarring and ironic because this emotionally immature hero spends the whole novel grumbling how the heroine is too young for him (twelve-year difference).

i took a 1/4 ⭐️ away for every moment i was left with that heavy feeling of ✨cringe✨

it wasn’t terrible, it wasn’t fantastic, and it wasn’t groundbreaking. honestly the saving grace of this book was dex’s daughters and their comedic genius.

I enjoyed this book just as much as I thought I would. This one was perfect as a break from darker books. I loved the characters and the kids were hilarious and sweet and really made the book that much better. The only part I wasn’t a fan of was some of the ending but the epilogue redeemed it in my opinion. I’m excited to read the next one!
