Continues to amaze. Arguably the most poignant book in the series.

This book is the final book in the series and is the most action-packed. We found out at the end of book 6, Harry needs to finish what Dumbledore started: killing horcruxes. Ron and Hermione tell Harry he can’t find and destroy all 7 by himself, and the three of them begin their journey to find and destroy the Dark Lord’s soul so Harry can kill him, and it can be over. This is no easy task and the trio run in to many obstacles along the way. The final destination is Hogwarts. Voldemort and his followers invade the school, and the battle of Hogwarts begins.

For this book, they wanted to fit as much as possible but the film was too long, so they split it in two in post processing. Personally I think part two is better, but of course both are great! They have the most information directly from the book, as it’s technically a 4 hour and 37 minute film. Let’s be real, I think a lot of fans would have sat through seven 8-hour films to get everthing correct. However, they really did a great job, besides the 4th one... These last two films wrap it up beautifully and the battle scene was done in such a way that made the magic feel real, and like you were fighting with them. The action, the music, the monologues, all wonderful.

I will never get over the deaths that took place in this book. They will forever haunt me. This is the only book that has ever made me cry.
