So apparently Meghan Quinn making me cry on the regular is a Thing now. Lol. This book was fun and funny and spicy AF, but also full of FEELS. Honestly, Ryland and Mac’s relationship was my favorite thing about this book. Uncle Dad? Freaking SWOON. And that epilogue absolutely did me in 😭

This book was a rollercoaster of emotions in a good way. Such an amazing mix in of spice too. It wasn't too much where it ruined the book which is what I always look for in these type of books. Ryland's characters development was amazing to watch as well. Don't get me started on the Epilogue..... I was crying so much, it was wholesome

I loved this. I was waiting so impatiently for Ryland's book, so I was so excited when Meghan announced it was finally happening. And it did not disappoint.

Ryland has a lot of struggles, specifically the fact that no matter what he does, he feels like he'll never be able to care for Mac in the way that her mother would've. And while he may not be able to raise her the exact same way, he's still such a great "uncle dad." The entire book, both he and Gabby, are so intentional in every decision they make, ensuring it's the best one for Mac and them, and I absolutely loved that.

And Gabby and Ryland are so perfect for each other. They support one another endlessly while also challenging each other when the situation calls for it. Both of them are afraid to step out of their comfort zones into a relationship, but they do such a good job communicating that it's barely an issue.

I will say, my few reasons this wasn't a five-star read...
1) Meghan joked about how Mac was the "disappearing" kid, and she kinda was. She was often times pawned off to everyone else so that Gabby and Ryland could have maximum alone time on page
2) The spice. There was a LOT. There were a lot of romantic parts, too, but I could've traded a few spicy scenes for more romance (and more time with Mac)
3) The "villain." I needed more plot with this. He was mentioned a lot in the beginning, then we really saw nothing in the middle, and then at the end, he showed up and threatened Gabby??? This plot needed more.

Otherwise, I loved it. And don't get me started on the epilogue. When I realized whose wedding we were preparing for, I lost it 😭😭

I don’t know if I need tissues to wipe my tears from crying, or if I need tissues to wipe up other things lol because this book was full of emotion and a lot of sexy time and I loved every page. Thank you so much Meghan Quinn and Hambright PR for this gifted ebook!

This is a small town single dad sports romance that will have you hooked. Both main characters come from very tough backgrounds and are just trying to survive the hardships life has thrown their way. That trauma and dedication to be better than the parents who brought them up though is what links them together.

The sibling and friend dynamics both main characters had was everything to me lol I was dying laughing throughout a lot of this book. It’s something that needs to be cherished should you have it in real life.

Before this book, I have only read a novella by this author but now I will be going through her backlist for sure! Totally recommend! And it is on KU!

Disclaimer: I received this book at no cost from the publisher/author. I am leaving a voluntary review and all opinions are my own.

I don't know how every single new release from Meghan Quinn gets ten times better than the last (when they are already god-tier) but they do.

Quinn's writing prowess blows me away. She dominates so hardcore in Romancelandia. Her storytelling is unmatched. I love her trademark humor that she weaves into all her stories. I mesh with her writing style so completely. It's like she is writing these books just for me. It's like she gets me and I love that. I am sure I am not the only person who feels this way about her writing. The plot of this book kept me engaged and salivating for more. I couldn't put this book down. The world-building is lovely and puts the reader smack dab in the middle of this quaint small town.

I love all of the characters in this series. They are all distinct and have such unique personalities. The main characters were so relatable and I connected with them easily. This series has major squad goals, which is one of the things I love to see in a story or series. It adds so much depth to the story. I loved all the relationships and character dynamics.

The romance in this book is one of the best that I have read in a while. It ticks off all the boxes for me. The main characters had glaring chemistry which was palpable. If you lit a flame around the two of them, everything would go up in flames. I loved the emotional aspects of their romance. It was easy to ship their romance because it was so obvious that they were perfect for each other. They shared the same passions and interests and had similar backgrounds. They just clicked in all ways. The sexual chemistry and tension were off the charts. I love how Quinn can write a sexy scene that is super hot and also has an emotional component that just makes it feel hotter.

Overall, this was a heartfelt story with spice that hits all the marks. If you are looking for a series to sink your teeth into that has memorable characters that you will absolutely form an attachment to then this is the series for you. A lot is going on in this book despite the general lightness of it so it will hit you in the feels at times. I definitely recommend this, especially if you love addicting plots, scorching romance, and impeccable writing.

The Path to Loving Him is the third book of Meghan Quinn’s Almond Bay series. It’s a small town romance that starts off with a bang. It’s really sweet to see how much Ryland and Gabby each put their family first and you can’t help but root for all of them along the way.

I really enjoyed this one. Both Ryland and Gabby each have pretty traumatic pasts so it’s really satisfying to watch their relationship unfold and see them both happy. And the spice hits in chapter two, so this book has that going for it also. I loved the baseball theme of the book and how capable and respected Gabby is with the team. And Ryland will always have my heart as the big protector and for how sweet he is raising his niece. I teared up at several parts of the book (but with happy tears!).

I cracked up at all the romance book references throughout. And Meghan Quinn’s banter is still top notch here, but there’s a lot more touchy-feely family-first themes in this one that really hit the mark for me. I definitely recommend this one.
