Well that was terrifying. 

I love a gritty historical fiction, especially from the medieval era, and this definitely delivered on that. In such a few short words, Kristian was able to put me right into the clash and stink of battle and then gave me one of the creepiest quests I’ve ever been on. His vivid imagery is some of the very best I’ve read and I’ll definitely need to get into some of his longer works.
