Running from a dark past, Lana Landon leaves France behind in order to crash with her professional hockey player brother in his Seattle home. Lana needs to figure out what her next steps are, but it’s hard to do while dealing with Matt, her overprotective older brother. And even though Lana’s just gotten out of a hard relationship, there’s something about Alex “Thor” Bergman, one of her brother’s teammates, that she can’t quite get out of her head.

Okay, so I’ve always loved a good hockey romance, and this one did not disappoint! “Having It All” combined hockey romance combined with one of my all time favorite tropes (best friend’s little sister), and I loved it! Thor and Lana’s story was super sweet and oh so steamy, and I loved watching their relationship develop over the course of the novel.

I was also incredibly proud of Lana finding her inner strength and realizing that she is a strong, confident woman. Most importantly, she realized that no one could take that away from her. As for Thor, I think he’s an absolute dream! He may have had problems settling down in the past, but once he meets Lana, it’s like she’s the only one who matters. He’s always so caring and attentive towards her, and I loved that! Their chemistry was scorching hot, and I loved their banter as well! All in all, I definitely recommend!

A very enjoyable sports romance with characters who are interesting, diverse and act like adults!

Thor/Alex is a typical pro athlete who has had a few too many crazy relationship/hookups go wrong and get him negative press. His focus is on hockey and staying at the top of his game as an NHL goalie. Then he meets a little firecracker who ends up being his teammate’s very off limits younger sister, and her brother is definitely of the overprotective/alpha category.

Lana has returned to the US to escape an abusive and controlling boyfriend. She’s traumatized by her ordeal, but she’s still a kicka$$ woman who isn’t going to sit back and wallow - yes there is some initial wallowing for a few weeks and then Lana is back to her feisty self.

Their initial encounters are full of verbal sparing which get a little too much, so one of them speaks up and calls the other on the behavior and then they work towards a more friendly existence. The WAGs take Lana into their posse and help her launch a business idea. All of the characters are fun and the scenes include hockey practices/games/locker room; some parties and social events, quiet moments between Alex and Lana; brother/sister/family talks and more to keep you very involved and connected to the characters and the story.

This was my first book by the author and even though this was the 5th book in the series, I still felt welcome/comfortable with the characters and storyline. I loved Lana’s brother, Matt, and his girlfriend Mila enough to want to start at the beginning of the series and read their story.

I always love finding new authors to follow, and Emily Bunney is definitely now on my watch list!

I’d been looking forward to seeing who Thor would end up with and when it was teased at the end of book 3 I was like yassss.

Lana has just come out of an abusive relationship and returned to Seattle to stay with her brother Matt, the captain of the Whalers. His teammate Alex, the big Swedish goalie also known as Thor has taken a liking to Lana, he keeps stealing glances at her whenever they are in the same space. You can sense the sexual tension between them

This book is Lana and Thor's story. Lana knows she has to get out of France to move on. She decided to go to Seattle and live with her brother, who is a professional hockey player. How everything unfolds next is completely unexpected by her, she definitely did not want to have feelings for Thor, because of her very overprotective brother. Their story was so sweet, with a bit of steam.

I absolutely loved all the characters, but truly enjoyed Thor. He had difficulty deciding to style down in the past, but it is clear after he meets Lana things are different. He was so caring and took care of her however he could, so romantic. Their banter was definitely fun. This story moved fast and keeps you engaged, but definitely had a twist I was expecting but also not. I highly recommend you read this book. I received a copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.
