This remains to be so charming because these dudes are really coming into this with good intentions. Well… most of them are at least. And at the end of their first journey they were so euphoric feeling like they did something good and helped their fellow animals that it does seem like there’s some hope for them yet.
The heist format of this was so fun and it was nice to see them actually do something good (well, except for snake) considering the dogs in the last book didn’t really want to be free and were afraid of them. I also loved seeing the dynamic of Shark and Legs and how they grew close and it really dove into seeing beyond your prejudices and overcoming you fears. They were willing to risk their lives for each other and we love Shark being the master of disguise.

The bad guys are at it again. This time they plan to prove their goodness by freeing chickens from a chicken farm. But this plan means bringing on a spider to help and when Snake sees the chickens will he be able to rescue them without eating them?
Greatly enjoyed by my 8 year old son who had not read the first installment. We got through the entire thing in about 20 minutes.
Good for ages 6 and up.
