This is a work of fiction written for elementary aged children. Talking animals run things in this world instead of humans. As such, this is a fine book and plot concept.
Sadly, there are real life "adults" who never actually grew up enough to examine the consequences of releasing animals like this in real life, and have therefore caused great damage to the animals that they have supposedly "freed," so I have discussed with my child why this hasn't ACTUALLY been a good idea when tried in real life. He easily grasped the concept. (Too bad those "adults" didn't as well.)

I like the characters but the storyline is kinda dumb. I keep wanting this series to do better. Perhaps the next one will?

I don’t particularly enjoy this series, but my daughter has loved it, and it has encouraged independent reading.

This book continues the adventures of Mr. Wolf, Mr. Snake, Mr. Shark, and Mr. Piranha. Largely because of the leadership of Mr. Wolf, they continue to try to convince the public they are not bad guys. They have mixed results in this regard. In this book, they are joined by Legs who is a tarantula. In this book, Mr. Wolf decides they will try to help 10,000 chickens escape a maximum-security enclosure. The books in this series are graphic novels. They are aimed at a middle grade audience. This doesn't mean that there aren't adults who will enjoy the books. I am one of the adults who enjoyed the book.
